RWA’s connect students to future career opportunities and educational pathways. They provide a link between students, those who educate our students, and local manufacturing business leaders. 

There is one Regional Workforce Advisor located in each of the 12 Local Workforce Development Areas across the state. Find your RWA today!

THEY ARE DESIGNATED TO:

• Organize events such as field studies and symposiums to provide students an opportunity to hear first-hand the needs of business and industry. 

• Supply resources for workforce development, college and career preparation in curriculums. 

• Provide professional development related to college and career readiness. 

• Help businesses partner with schools and colleges to develop a workforce for industries, including apprenticeships, internships, job shadowing and other work-based learning experiences. 

• Relay up-to-date workforce needs to educators. 

• Advocate industry needs to students, parents and educators. 

• Provide opportunities for businesses to reach students, educators and parents to share information about the skills and talent needed in the workplace. 

• Serve as a support system for the emerging workforce. 

• Provide multiple opportunities for students to interact with industry leaders and businesses. 

• Coordinate opportunities for students to explore future employment and higher education options. 

• Work with the educational systems to convey career specific information such as salaries, job responsibilities, education needed and job outlook.
